Make sure your iPhone has enough storage (at least 200 MB free) and that "Background App Refresh" is enabled in Settings โ General. Lunara also saves a checkpoint every minute, so you'll usually recover the session the next time you open the app.
Check that Lunara has notification permission (Settings โ Lunara โ Notifications) and, if you use Sleep Focus or Do Not Disturb, allow Lunara as a time-sensitive app. We're working on a Critical Alerts entitlement with Apple so the alarm bypasses all Focus modes.
Open the iOS Settings app โ tap your name at the top โ Subscriptions โ Lunara โ Cancel.
All audio stays on your iPhone in the app's Documents folder. We never upload it to a server.
Lunara uses Apple's on-device audio classifier (the same ML model Apple's own apps use). It distinguishes snoring from speech, coughing, traffic, and music with high accuracy.
Cloud sync is coming with our backend integration. For now, data lives on each device.
Yes. Lunara keeps recording even when your iPhone screen is off, you receive a call (auto-pause/resume), or you use other apps. We also save a checkpoint every minute so you never lose a night.
The AI Coach analyzes your sleep history, journal entries, and sleep profile to give personalized, science-backed advice. It uses Claude AI from Anthropic for natural-language insights. Audio is never sent โ only anonymized summaries.
Lunara is optimized for overnight use. With airplane mode + screen off, typical battery drain is 5-10% over 8 hours. Keep your phone charging if possible.
